This research report is a reference document adding to existing published databases that give corn production and stocks at the state level. The data in this report are state-level estimates on the utilization of corn for: animal feed by specific types of animals; food and industrial uses that come from producing high fructose corn syrup, glucose and dextrose, starch, fuel alcohol, beverage alcohol, cereals and other products, seed use and exports.
In addition, background data is given on state-level animal numbers, wet and dry mill capacities and ethanol plant capacities. The net surplus available or net deficits that need to be met are given for each state. The additional surplus that exceeds domestic deficit needs goes into the U.S. export market.
Corn exports from competing foreign countries and corn imports to deficit countries are provided. Also given are state-level annual average price data for corn, monthly prices at U.S. ports of export and per bushel imputed values for foreign country imports and exports.
