Annual Cool-Season Forages for Late-Fall or Early-Spring Double-Crop

Planting cool-season annuals following grain or corn silage harvest is an economical way to produce high-quality forage. Two types of cool-season annual forages can be used to produce double-cropped forage: small grain cereal grasses, such as oats, cereal rye, triticale, and wheat; and brassicas, which include turnip and radish.
