Black Spot of Roses

One of the greatest challenges to successfully growing garden roses is disease control. Black spot, caused by the fungus Diplocarpon rosae, is by far the most troublesome disease of garden roses in Nebraska, and if not properly controlled, will severely weaken plants. This can result in increase susceptibility to winter injury of dieback due to other causes.
