Restoring Water Quality in Eutrophic Ponds
Published 2026
Lakes and ponds contribute significantly to “The Good Life” enjoyed in Nebraska by providing outdoor recreation, wildlife habitat, and an aesthetic diversity to landscapes. Excess algae and weeds are signs of eutrophication and this extension circular outlines the preventative and treatment options homeowners and lake associations can do to restore water quality in their ponds.
