Irrigation Efficiency and Uniformity, and Crop Water Use Efficiency

As available water resources become scarcer, more emphasis is given to efficient use of irrigation water for maximum economic return and water resources sustainability. Various terms are used to describe how efficiently irrigation water is supplied and/or used by the crop. This publication describes the various irrigation and crop water usage terms. Understanding the terminology can hep promote improved use of water resources in agriculture.
