Allowing children to experience the consequences of their behavior includes discipline by consequences (unless the child is endangering her/his health and safety), taking time-outs, and Think Space (allowing children to take responsibility for their choices while giving adults a safe and responsible way to take themselves out of their child's emotional loop of misbehavior.
