Fumigating Farm-Stored Grain with Aluminum Phosphide

Fumigating Farm-Stored Grain with Aluminum Phosphide

EC2508

Nebraska Extension generally does not recommend that private applicators (farmers) fumigate their own grain because of the potential danger involved. It is best to hire a trained, licensed professional. If you do choose to fumigate your own grain, you must follow all instructions in this publication. Notably, prior to fumigating you must have a valid private pesticide applicator license, the necessary air monitoring equipment, and a Fumigation Management Plan.
