Child Abuse

This publication explores the causes and prevention of child abuse and neglect under Nebraska law. In Nebraska in 2005, approximately 14,000 cases of child abuse and neglect were investigated. Of those investigated, a little over 3,000 Nebraska cases were substantiated. Case could include more than one child, depending on the size of the family.
